Q: OKay I've been getting the white error screen "please put this disc in a xbox360" since December of last year and recently its gotten worse it takes me about almost 3 hours to start a game. I had called M$ Costumer support and they told me its gonna cost me $99 bucks to fix. Im still under the 3 redlights warranty does anyone know if I fry out my system would they fix this problem also?.... The white error screen I read is a M$ issue.
A: This error has to do with the DVD drive. Which is one of the parts they don't replace to fix the 3 red lights. Who knows, when they get done replacing the motherboard and fan, they run a game test. If the DVD drive fails for them they might replace it while its there. Either way you'll be getting some or all upgraded parts. If you do pay the $99, you get a new 1 and 3 year warranties from the day they send your 360 back out to you and it gets fixed for sure. The 3 red light method will be hit or miss on whether the DVD drive gets fixed and you may need to still pay to get it fixed. Good luck either way
