I have a 20 GB hard drive for my xbox 360 and i want to buy a bigger one. isthere anyway to transfer the data?

Q: you say connect to a computer...but how do you do that??

A: When you purchase the larger drive it will come with the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit, a first-party Xbox 360 accessory from Microsoft. The purpose of this device (effectively a tarted-up USB cable) is to do exactly what you're suggesting, to migrate your data from one drive to another. All you have to do is connect one end of it to a USB socket on your Xbox 360 and the other end to the new hard disk and it will migrate over the old disk's contents. Read about it from Microsoft here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/datamigration.htm You *could* move the information from your existing hard drive to a PC and then onto the new drive, but to do this you'll obviously need to purchase additional third-party hardware such as the Datel XSATA, details of which you can find here... http://hardware.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/66/Datel-XSATA/ http://www.engadget.com/2006/04/11/datel-xsata-connects-xbox-360-to-pc-via-usb/ ... Although since the 120GB drive comes with a transfer kit in the package it might not be necessary for you.
