Q: Hi ive been looking around and have found that theres a way to backup xbox 360 games and play them incase they scratch or break. This would be great since i have a little brother who messed up one of my disks by tipping over my 360, well i was thinking of backing up all my games and let him use those, while i keep my originals nice and clean stored away. Ive looked around and found out that you need to mod your xbox which voids the warrenty, well i would befenatly not want to do that since ive had issues with the xbox before but had the warrenty. I have a laptop that burns dual layer DVDs and also i have a 14 blank dual layer DVD cd's, How can i make copyies of my games without actually breaking open the 360 and modding it with the modchip? is there any way?
A: Just to let you know, Backing up YOUR discs isn't illegal. just don't go around selling them. And I wouldn't wait for the Xbox 360 dashboard update because even though you load the games on to the HD, you will still need the disc in the tray to make sure it is your game. This is to prevent people from going to Blockbuster, renting a game, loading it onto the HD and basically getting a game for $5. As for how to do it, I'm also stuck (thats how I got here in the first place).
