Q: The wireless connector doesn't work with my xbox elite (don't ask why, I still need to send it in to get fixed) To solve this problem, I bought an extra-long cord that connected my xbox to the router in my office. Can I hook up my xbox to my computer WITHOUT the wireless connector?
A: Yep, just plug one end of your ethernet cable into your XB360 and the other end into your router. Bing Bang Bosh! it should see your computer but make sure you have media sharing activated. If you mean just the Xbox360 to the Computer direct then Yes. You will have to manually setup the IP on both your network card and your Xbox360. Then test and all should be OK
