Q: Here is what i have been thinking about doing. Taking my small TV and I would like to put it in my room. But there is no plug for the TV. there's a power plug in the perfect place but there's no place for that wire with the thin pin. Also when that was done I was going to hook my Xbox 360 up to that TV. I know the TV and console are compatible because the Xbox right now is playing on that TV. Is it even possible to hook a 360 to a TV? And how hard is it to add that TV plug? Thanks Alright lemme explain that better sry i was being a little confusin. I have an old pc moniter right? ight so what i want to do is take that and get some sort of cable so that i can hook it up to my tv and get all my channels also i want to be able to hook up my xbox 360 is this possible? thnx
A: OK if you are hooking up to an old PC monitor, if you have a video port on the monitor (looks like a blue port) then you need to get a 360 HD lead as it will have a video plug which is compatible with your monitor. Now if the monitor has a lead then yes you can again. Once again you need the 360 HD lead with the video plug but also get yourself a USB 2 Port KVM Switch such as this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-2-0-KVM-2-Port-Ports-Selector-VGA-Print-Switch-Box_W0QQitemZ200249915713QQihZ010QQcategoryZ67269QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Then hook the monitor lead to the main monitor output port, attach your HD lead to one of the available input ports and to power it connect a USB cable from your XB360 to the KVM. I have this setup at home, where I am sharing my monitor between my XB360 and my computer.
