Q: When ever i turn on my xbox my computer reconizes it and ask if i want to connect and it says please input the code found on your screen but there is never any code and when i try to conncect to the computer with the xbox it cannot find the computer i have a dynex router and also i am connected to xbox live through the router i just cannot acess the computer
A: if i am not mistaken dynex is not a supported router. anyhow, you will need to configure the 360 with the ip address thats not in use. IE: 192.168.1.8 and you will need to input the DNS server(s). do find that go to your pc and go to start then run, type in CMD and press enter. This will bring up a DOS prompt screen. Type in ipconfig and press enter. just input what you see into your 360 and it should work. If it still doesnt work you will need to power cycle you modem and router. good luck EDIT: I forgot to mention, your pc needs to have media center if your trying to stream videos and whatnot. but other then that just follow what i said above and you'll be good to go :)
