Q: Is now the right time to buy an xbox 360? With the recent drop price from $350 to $300? I won't need anything bigger than a 20 gig hard drive and I already have $300. I'm basically planning on just playing Call Of Duty 4, and Halo 3 if it strikes my interest. I still need to baby sit some more to pay from the $21 tax it is in my state. (0.07 to the dollar). Is this what I need? Should I babysit even more to get the new 60 gig for $350? Help me out please?
A: I agree with the Sept. 1st thing, the xbox reliability factor should go up after that. Also, according to my constant video game news updates on Kotaku.com, there should (and will) be a price drop in the 360 leaving the arcade model at an astounding $199. Then of course in wake of that the other models should drop a bit too, so at the very least wait until Sept. 7. Though I would definitely recommend getting that hard drive. I've had one for 3 years now and 20 GB has been plenty fine for me, Ive just never wanted to store music on the thing. Another rumor I got online today (though I cant remember where, sorry) is that Circuit city's (might have been best buy, i know its one of those though) next week will be offering a free $30 gift card with next week's advertisements with any console sale. Meaning if you buy your 360 during that week, but still within the "30 day price correction" thing they have at circuit city you can get your gift card as well as a price reduction correction after the price drop on sept. 7. fwew. first of all wait at least wait until the next wave of advertisements come out (it will be sunday for both stores) and see which one offers the $30 gift card. if that actually comes true, some of what im saying might be truth!
