Q: I come acroos 360 fanboys a lot and their arguments always come down to 360 online is worse than XBL. Now I dont want to hear shit about: XBL has more people, because both have millions of people and its impossible to see the difference. Halo3, i know its a good online game but I dont care about it. It has more content, yes its been up for longer but the only really memorable Arcade game is geometry wars. I prefer Pixeljunk Eden/Monsters Pain and warhawk. You can talk to poeple in game and earn trophies, yes this was the main problem.... until 2nd of July 2008. 360 has netflix.... Well, thats only in america...and how is it different from regular video downlaod service? You can link it with your MSN... great, people can bother you continuously when you are trying to game I only know 1 person who links their XBL to their MSN, all my other friends just dont. So how is XBL better? If you dont answer ll take it as you admitting they are the same.
A: I love Sony to death and see Microsoft as a money hungry monopoly, but I would have to say XBL is better. First, the started first, and have thus had longer to perfect their community. Also, by having subscriptions, XBL is a bit more organized than the PSN. Also, communication, which I believe is the main point of the XBL and PSN is a lot easier to do on the XBL than the PSN, even with the updated In game XMB. I don't really understand why, but people love achievements and getting them, that is something the PSN lacks as well, even with the trophies update, I only know of one game so far that has actually patched so you can obtain trophies. I think the main problem is this.Microsoft being the dominating company it is, tells the developers what they will do on the platform, the game will support in game xbl, the game will support achievements. Sony on the other hand, gives the developer the option to use what they offer or not. A lot of people forget that companies could have used in game music from the very beginning with Sony, it was just that no developer bothered to do so, Microsoft didn't give people that choice, and it worked in their favor. The usage of the XBL comes off as more organized because everyone does the same thing and you know when you play a game that it will have, more or less, the same options as the one you just played or the game you will play after. With Sony, the developers are given a choice, so the options you have available are completely disorganized. If I can play my own music in this game and win trophies, I would like to do it in another as well, but that isn't the case. Also, it took so long for Sony to give us the In game XMB, which looked really bad on their part, and Home has been postponed almost two years now. These are things that could bring people to Sony's side. Sony is starting to catch up to Microsoft with their online services, but I still think XBL is better. On the other hand, PSN has, in my personal opinion, way better downloadable content than XBL.
