Q: Ok I put my credit card in my xbox about a month ago and now all of a sudden when i tryed to buy microsoft points it says: Cannot authorize the selected payment option. Please select a different payment option or add a new one. Also maybe this might be a problem i'm only on a silver membership. Umm just yesturday i purchessed the monthly gold membership. To check if it works. And it did and now there gonna charge me monthly now and my dad doesn't know that i used his credit card! Also when i checked the credit card info it said it expired 7/08 but it still worked when i purchesed the gold monthly.
A: make sure that your info is correct for the credit card info. re-type it if you have to just to make sure, and it doesnt matter if you have silver or gold membership the points are for the marketplace and you can go there with either silver or gold!! if that doesnt work go to xbox.com and try to purchase straight from the web site.
