Q: Alright, I ordered a refurbished xbox 360 last month, and just tried to go online with it today. I realized that my xbox is banned and can never go online. Should I send it back to the company and ***** at them, or should I just mod the crap out of it and play it without going online. The only reason why i would want to mod it, is because microsoft wont unban my system. i bought it from www.stootsi.com it was legit enough to give me the 360, and everything else, but it was a banned system. Thanks. i'll try to send it back, the only thing is that they dont sell 360s on that website anymore.
A: First things first, find out if it 'can' be modded. If you don't know just click the open button on the DVD tray & see what you got compared with this. http://mobile.xboxversions.com/images/360drives.jpg If you've got the Philips then I don't think there's alot you can do. If not then have a look at one of the stickers on the box it came in & have a look for your batch number. Have a look at this site : http://www.360drives.com/list to see if your batch number can even be modded. If not then recheck the websites small print about the consoles sold. If there is no mention about the console being banned then they haven't bought everything to your attention that they should have (false advertising) & they deserve a right boll..rollocking!
