Some Things To Keep In Mind

Parents need to know that DragonBox Algebra 12+ is an innovative and engaging game that helps kids learn algebra concepts. Kids learn one of the most important concepts in algebra — keeping equations balanced — in a very unique way: They drag and drop objects on two sides of a diagram, reinforcing the idea that what is done to one side of an equation must be done to the other. Then kids tap to make certain objects disappear to isolate the dragon in a box on one side of the diagram. Learning progresses as kids move through the game and as they unlock chapters. Kids will enjoy playing and seeing their dragon “grow.” There’s also a more traditional practice mode so kids can apply what they’ve learned to solve equations.

DragonBox Algebra 12+ is a Education app that is designed for those 12.  The app has an overall rating of 5 out of 5 and a learning rating of 5 out of 5.

Our Thoughts on the Level of Engagement:

Kids will have tons of fun while being challenged to balance and solve equations. Watching dragons grow is pretty cool, too.

The Support Level for DragonBox Algebra 12+ is about a 5 out of 5.

Subtle hints and animated tutorials help teach kids how to use rules. As the difficulty level increases, the lack of detailed explanations may frustrate some kids.
