Some Things To Keep In Mind

Parents need to know that Brave Interactive Comic is the comic book-style retelling of the movie Brave. There are 48 interactive comic pages on this app and no voice-overs, so kids either need to be able to read or have the comic book read to them to fully enjoy it. The coolest feature on this app is the option to view images of the characters as animators sketched and transformed them through the process of bringing the idea for the movie to life. There’s also a how-to-draw feature that guides kids step-by-step to draw the characters on the screen themselves.

Brave Interactive Comic is a Books app that is designed for those 9.  The app has an overall rating of 3 out of 5 and a learning rating of 2 out of 5.

Brave Interactive Comic is available for $1.99 On The Following Devices:

Our Thoughts on the Level of Engagement:

A fun experience, especially for older kids and kids who love the graphic novel format and can fully appreciate the how-to-draw segment. Younger kids may have a hard time engaging fully; it’s not an easy app.

The Support Level for Brave Interactive Comic is about a 2 out of 5.

There’s a how-to-draw feature that guides kids step-by-step to draw the characters on the screen themselves. Little pots of gold prompt kids to tap and see how animation artists created the characters for this movie.
