Content Overview

This free app will leave you speechless as to what it offers and the different activities that are able to be played. Although the title says “4th grade”, it can be used for any ages that are in the learning process of basic math skills. All of the elementary school children can easily learn how to make their way around the galaxy while learning math in the funnest was possible. In the top right corner, there is a button with a little green man in it labeled “More games”.  The page that comes up says “For parents use only”, and the parent must add their birth year in order to reach the other games. Once the birth year is added in, a list of other fun math games from the same maker is listed in an easy to locate place. The skill tracker option on the home page will give statistics on that specific user and provides a very well understanding of which skills need help, which skills are fluent, and what percentile the child is in and more! There is a parent section button located right under the skill tracker and this as well also needs a birth year to get into. Here, you can rate the app and make comments to the review board, tell a friend through email or text, share on Facebook, or follow them on twitter for new updates and games coming out. As a parent you can also subscribe to get updates on new levels and apps released. “We designed Math Planet by combining years of learning science research, advanced machine learning and award-winning game design. We hope you’ll find Math Planet to be an awesome way to develop high-impact math skills. If you like us, please rate us or tell a friend — and if you have any ideas or suggestions please give us your feedback!” – Derek Lomas, Chief Learning Scientist There is an option to give feedback on the home page. Our Opinion Of The App

With an overall experience of 5/5, and a learning experience of 4/5, we rank this app on the higher end of things due to the creativity, skill management, variety, and assistance. This is a great program for summer of 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade students who need to freshen up on their math. This should be used year round due to the amount of levels, and is advised to do the levels as the child learns them in school or homeschooled. Comparing to other math learning apps, this one is creative and takes you on a fun journey through space instead of just blankly doing math problems. Enjoy the games an get started today!
