Playing PC games...........?

Q: with games like FIFA, Tiger Woods and etc avaliable on a PC format (as well as PS2, PS3, Xbox and etc)... with playing games like those on the computer, do you have to use the keys on the keyboard? Or are there controllers with USB plug ins and play like the PS2 version (for example) I am wondering because im thinking of getting a computer just for gaming; and if I there are controllers like that invented, then I am thinking of doing that, and then play online that way. sorry if the question sounds confusing...i worded it as best as i could.

A: You can use: (1) the keyboard and mouse (of course) ; (2) joystick (good for flight simulator gaming) ; (3) a steering wheel (for racing gaming); and, (4) even buy a hand controller similar to what the console gaming systems use, as well. Those are the things that come to mind regarding PC gaming that I know of anyway. Most PC games use the keyboard and mouse controls. Adding the joystick or steering wheel is optional with many of them. Some games for the PC require the use of a hand controller (like the PS2 uses) in order to be played. Resident Evil 4 is a game that I know of, that you need to have a hand controller to play it with on the PC. Assassins Creed I believe, is that way also. It is probably possible to custom select the type of control buttons you want and play most PC games using the hand controller (if you know how to configure it in). Some games like, first person shooters and strategy games, actually work best using just the keyboard and mouse. I bought Resident Evil 4 for the PC, because I knew it was a first person shooter, thinking it would play better on the PC. It looks like I am going to have to buy one of those hand controllers to even play it with now, though. But in answering your question, of course there are controllers, like the PS2 uses, that you can attach to a PC, and play games with. I am not sure exactly how they match the PS2's controller. They may be more like the PS3 or Xbox 360's controller. Not sure there.
