what do u think of my plan to sell my ps2?

Q: ok first im going to sell my ps2 and some crappy games 2.im going to buy a ds 3.save up money and buy a ps3 i mean they stopped making games for the ps2 so y keep it? mine as well save up for the upgrade right?

A: I wouldn't call the PS3 an "upgrade". Many PS2 games don't work on the PS3, and some PS3 models don't play ANY PS2 games. It would suck to keep your favorite PS2 games only to find that your new PS3 can't play them. Are you planning on selling your PS2 to a store like Gamestop or Game Crazy? If so, you probably won't get enough money to buy a DS. They sell used PS2s for $80, so they probably wouldn't give you more than $40 for it. Used games get $5-$10 apiece depending on the demand of the game. You said that the games are "crappy", so you can expect a low resale value. To get enough money for a DS (just the system, no games), you'll have to sell your PS2 and 15-20 games. If I were in your position, I'd shop around to find some good PS2 games that I don't already own. Used games are usually a good bargain, and the PS2 has an extensive library of games. You're bound to find really good games that you haven't played.
