Q: When PS2 and Xbox eventually become obsolete, do you think Gamestop will try to get rid of all their discontinued PS2 and Xbox games in a "everything must go" super-sale? If so, what price would they sell each game for (new and used)? What did they do when Dreamcast and N64 was discontinued? Also, when do you think the PS2 and/or Xbox will be discontinued?
A: I don't think that Gamestop/EB Games has ever done anything like an "everything must go" sale. They'll probably keep the XBox and PS2 sections intact until they sell all the new games, then gradually mark down the prices of the used games until there are few enough left to stick them in a bargain bin. That's what they did for the N64.
