Q: we are now in the PS3, Xbox 360 era. Is there more nex gen consoles to come? If so, when and by what company?
A: I'd say its more like the wii era as its out selling both the 360 and PS3 combined, as for another console appearing it would have to say no chance, it would be too costly to develop and market besides there isn't many companies out there with both the finances and expertise to attempt such a thing, and with Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony already battling it out for their own share of the market theres very little room for anyone else right now, they each have their own niche Microsoft with its online, Nintendo with its wiimote and PS3 with its multi-media, the handheld market might be easier to get into seeing as they are older than the current consoles and the fact that there is only two not three, Apple may be a contender but as far as I know they haven't shown any interest yet.
