A: The adapter makes it work as a normal Memory Stick rather than a pro duo, for older devices like Digital Cameras. Be warned that most Memory Sticks on eBay are fakes that either don't work or have only 1/2 capacity - I know from personal experience as I was ripped off with one of them for my PSP which was supposed to be 4gig but only held 2gig before corrupting all my files.
