Q: besides playing games what can you do on a neintendo DS should i buy one ?
A: If you want to download and play videos and music on your DS, you can buy a "flash card" such as the M3 or R4 for the DS. But you know, the DS has a number of truely unique "nongame" cartridges you can buy for it. Such as turning your DS into a guitar with "Jam Sessions", eabling you not only to play the songs provided, but write your own music as well. You can use your DS to learn a new language with "My French Coach". I have "My Spanish Coach" and it's pretty good! Or to improve your vocabulary with "My Word Coach". To improve your periphrial vision and hand/eye coordination, there's "Flash Focus" for the DS, which uses techniques similar to those used to train professional athletes. The DS also has games such as "Brain Age" and "Big Brain Academy" which focus on improving your thinking skills in areas such as: logic, memorization, analysis, visualization, math, etc. If you'd like an electronic journal, dayplanner, and way to check your daily horoscope? Well, there's a DS game for that called "Diary Girl". And you can start your DS exercise program with "Let's Pilates" and "Let's Yoga"! There's also supposed to be a game released that will help you develop a diet plan and stick to it by selecting, recording and tracking your daily meals, and providing feedback regarding calories, nutritional value, etc. Oh, and you can buy the Gameboy Advance videos and watch your favorite "Spongebob" and "Nickelodeum" cartoons as well. There's just so many things you can do with the DS--so absolutely, yes! Go buy one.
