Q: Hi I have Xbox 360 & PS3. I want to make a pre-order but, I am stuck which Soul Calibar 5 should I buy. I made a smart move to buy "Call of Duty 4" on Xbox 360 because, it supports 1080P & 360 has Dual-Shock. Not like PS3. Anyways, the Soul Calibar 5 on the PS3 is on 720P & 1080i. But on the 360, is on 720P,1080i & 1080P. So, which should I buy? Thanks! -I have 38'' Philips HDTV/LCD with 768P.
A: Since your TV is only able to render 720p correctly (and 1080i), it doesn't matter what you get, resolution-wise. On the PS3 version you can get Darth Vader as a playable character, and on Xbox 360 you can fight with Yoda. So it's really just a personal preference. However, the Xbox 360 Live network makes Multiplayer matches more enjoyable. Just for a info about the 720 and 1080 resolutions: If you take a perfect human eye, it is possible for this eye to "see" two dots as two discrete dots if they are 0,2mm apart in a one metre viewing distance. Move the dots away from the eye, and the eye will see those two dots as one. If you extrapolate this to dots on a TV screen, and you are sitting about 2 metres away from your TV, you will need a 110'' TV (a TV that is over 3,30 metres wide and 2,80 metres high) to really see a difference between 720p and 1080p. So just set your consoles to 720p and rest assured, that you don't miss any details in graphics.
