Q: im thinking about purchasing it?
A: This was my 2nd PS3 game and its great. I was addicted to manager mode for ages and I did about 4 capaignes in different leagues. But there were no real manager mode changes from Fifa 07. The diffrences with Fifa 07 and Fifa 08 are quite a few things: the loading screen is not you watching a loading bar, its a selected player of your choice with the ball in be a pro view and your one-on-one with the keeper. Here you can just casually shoot for goal, do tricks or free kicks if you want. Another diffrence is be-a-pro mode. Thats where your one player in the team and everybody has waited for this kind of a game mode. Online mode: The online in Fifa 08 is not the best. Many people will expierience lagging and delayed reactions from button to screen. If you have a good internet and your connected with a person who also has a good internet, it should be a smooth match. The be-a-pro in online is awesome. Its the closest to being a player part of a team. Its sometime annoying versing the computer. Its frustrating how they always seem to score in the 45th or the 90th minute.... and thats not me being a crap player, a few of my friends have also noticed it. There are some really dumb parts like when the ball is rolling at 1km/ph and your player stands there, stunned waiting for the ball even if you direct him to run there, it eventually gets intercepted. 50-50 balls can be silly at times aswell. Well theres not much more to talk about, graphics are great, there are a couple little glitches here and there. Fifa still have a while to go before they perfect things. I'd like to point out that if you have some mates over Fifa 08 is a great entertainer. Even though all Fifas have that effect, this has kept it. its also good that you can get too many red cards and forfeit. i think Fifa 07 did'nt allow that. I bit of a downpoint is that maxium game time is 20 minute halves. Even though not many people play 90 minute matches, it should still be in there.
