Q: Do you get 15 bucks off for pre-ordering it at gamestop because my cousin said thats what happened to him. Is it true did anyone have that? I mean do I get 15 dollars off for pre-ordering it.
A: I can't confirm that it's $15, but here's how a preorder works. You go in early to reserve a copy of a game. You pay, say $15, to reserve that copy. They then give you a coupon to purchase the game for $15 off. Essentially, all you did, was pay for part of the game now and then finish paying for it later, once they actually have it in. All this does is make sure that the night it comes out, you will get a copy. You're basically just reserving it by giving them part of the cash now. So it's not any cheaper to preorder a game, it cost exactly the same. So yes, you technically get $15 off when you go to purchase the game, but only because you paid that much for it already.
