rock band vs. guitar hero?

Q: which one is better? can you play with more than one person at a time on both or is that just rockband? which is better for beginners? better music? what game platform are they on? bring forward the answers.

A: If you're willing to pay a little extra, I, personally, would say Rock Band is better. I'll let you decide, though. Both games can be played by yourself or with multiple people (Guitar Hero 1-2 players; Rock Band 1-4 players). Comparing guitar to guitar, Guitar Hero is slightly harder than Rock Band's guitar. Rock Band does have its fair share of difficuilt songs though. Obviously, Guitar Hero is only the guitar. Rock Band's drums and vocals add variety to the game. Both are incredibly addicting. Being somewhat shy, I never would think I would sing, but it is so much fun. The drums are a bit difficuilt at first, but are incredibly fun (They're basically what makes me like Rock Band more than Guitar Hero). Rock Band has had a few problems with the hardware. For example, drum pads don't register, foot pedal breaks, guitar doesn't work, etc.. But for the most part everything works. If it doesn't EA is very good about replacements. Guitar Hero equipment is much less prone to breaking--especailly right out of the box. Guitar Hero music is primarily "heavier" than Rock Band. It seems to focus--not all the way, but mainly-- on metal, hard rock, etc. Rock Band seems to be more "mellow" It focuses more on classic rock, pop rock, and even a little prog. Both have modern rock songs. Finally, Guitar Hero is available for Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and even PC. Rock Band is available for Playstation 2, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. There are rumors that Rock Band will eventually be out for the Wii, too.
