Can I play Wii online with just a LAN adapter, or does it have to be through a wireless router? ?

Q: If so which wireless router works best to hook the Wii up to the internet? Thanks in Advance

A: You can play your wii with just your LAN adaptor... all you need is a wired network environment such as cable or DSL. If you don't have it environment wired and is instead directly connected to your computer running Windows XP or higher, you can get the Wi-Fi USB Connector and use Internet Setup to connect with it. Now... if you rather go wireless instead, I'm going to have to explain different circumstances since I don't know where your wii and your wireless router will be at. If you have your computer, DSL, cable or whatever your high speed (broadband) Internet connection in the same room as your wii or if you live in a very small apartment, then you can get a G router and you should be find NOTE: look out for brands as well as some brands work better than others (my brand is called D-Link and it works fine). If you live in a big house were your computer, DSL, cable or whatever your high speed (broadband) Internet connection is in a different place than your wii, then you have to get an N router which can cover a whole house with minimal problems. Also note that a wireless router can work with different wireless devices at the same time depending on the brand. For example: you can use your wii and a psp at the same time!!!Just be ready to spend a few bucks especially if you need an N router because they are not cheap altough if you search different stores you may be able to get a good deal!!! Hope this was of some help ;)
