Q: ok, Christmas is coming up and am planning to get a new system. How much is the Xbox 360 because in the T.V they say is 200 dollars but in ebgames it is 250. which system is best
A: It depends. There is no clear cut answer. Any you get will be from a "fanboy" of one of the systems. It depends on what types of games you like to play, what games you already have, how much room you have in your entertainment system and your budget for games. Do you like first person shooters, role playing games or colorful "kids" or "party" games best? If you like FPS's best, the Xbox 360 is the way to go. The other two have a few of them too, but 360 has the most. If you like role playing games best, the PS3 is the way to go as it has the largest library of those kinds of games (especially if you manage to get a backwards compatible model that can play PS2 games. Not all PS3 models can so ask first). With it's unique control system and easy to use hardware, the Wii is the perfect system for kids and group party games. What's your budget? The PS3 is the most expensive both in terms of hardware and games. Xbox 360 is a little cheaper, especially if you get one of the older models and not a Halo 3 Edition or Elite model. The Wii is still the cheapest both in terms of hardware and games. Though Wii's are hard to find. In terms of raw processing power, the PS3 squeaks ahead of the Xbox 360 with it's cell processors and high end video card. However, the vast majority of the games for the Xbox 360 are designed well to work with the system and look fantastic anyway. All the reviews I've seen where they compare cross-platform games between PS3 and Xbox 360 say that the graphics look almost identical between the two versions. I've seen some of these cross platforms games on both systems side by side on virtually identical TV's myself (I used to work at a major electronics store and we had displays set up) and I couldn't tell the difference between the same title of game running on Xbox 360 and PS3. The PS3 has the controllers that are supposed to have some degree of motion detection. I've tried them as well as playing the Wii. Neither system has the crispness nor the accuracy of responce to controlls that using the good ole buttons and thumbsticks on the Xbox 360 do. Trying the motion controlls was fun at first, but when I found that doing things that were a breeze on a traditional controller were maddeningly difficult with the motion controllers, I quickly lost interest. The motion sensing tech of the PS3 and Wii is interesting but is not fully mature to the point that it can rival the button and thumbstick controls of older styles of systems. Maybe in the next generation of consoles, motion control will work better. I hear that Nintendo is working on an improved motion sensing bar that may be available next year.
