Q: If I got a Wii would I just automatically get internet for it? I have a Linksys wireless thingy and it's all set up. Do I have to pay anything else or what? Please respond. Thanks.
A: Last I checked my wii needed a wireless adapter/LAN adapter In order to get on the internet. These are sold separately for about $30. Then you tell it to search for the internet under its settings menu and it will find either your modem via LAN adapter or the wireless adapter, depending on what you are going to try and connect to. My wii has cable internet hooked up to it. No matter what i wanted it needed an adapter, then if you want to surf the web you have to buy the internet "channel" which is like $5 bucks and downloading games costs 5-10 bucks a shot. It is nickel and dime city. Said and done, price wise, you should get a PS3 or an x box. You'll have much more fun and they are better built machines.
