Q: I can't for example copy Super Smash Bros Brawl or mario kart wii onto an SD card from the wii console memory! What is the deal?
A: Some game same files have copy-protection built in for some reason. I believe the main reason for SSBB & Mario Kart Wii is that they have online components that are physically tied to your specific Wii. Therefore, they have to make sure that your save data stays on your Wii or it'll wreck havoc with your online account & your friend lists. The only way around such issues is when Nintendo has to replace your Wii, then they'll copy all the critical data over to the new Wii to reduce problems. Hope that helps!
