Q: Do you agree with the following, and do some of these irriate you? Zelda, Link, Marth, and Ness have been "beefed up" or upgraded Jigglypuff has been downtrodded to the worst Link, Lucas, Snake, Pikachu, Luigi, Bowser, and many others are overpowered Level 8 and 9 computer players are annoying (as many may have wanted since they were way too easy in Melee, although good in SSB 64) Wario, Luigi, Captain Falcon, Fox, Sonic and even Snake are nuisances at level 8 and 9 yeah and to mention, I kind of like Jigglypuff, but when you (Nintendo developers) make his moves a bit delayed and tone them down, you seriously ruin the character.
A: I personally use Lucario a lot. Meta-Knight is also a favorite of mine, and many gamers consider him a "top-tier" character for his speed and aerial play (his forward-Special is just as useful as his up-special in some recovery situations). If anything, Marth's abilities have been toned down - just look at the differences between is Melee Neutral-Special attack (the charge swing, almost better than his forward smash in some situations) and his Brawl Neutral-Special (instead of swinging in an arc, he thrusts forward, removing any possibility of attacking someone above you with it). He still has that sweet spot on the tip of his sword, though, and good players will make sure their spacing is just right to make the most of it. I think in timed games, the heavy hitters like Donkey Kong, Wolf, and Bowser have more of an advantage because its easier to score KO's with their heavier attacks. In stock play, though, I'd say the more evasive characters have the advantage.
