A: Mine stays orange when I turn it off, too. It means that WiiConnect24 is on, which is a little program that runs in the background 24/7 and downloads software updates over the internet. When WiiConnect24 is enabled, turning off your Wii really puts it into standby mode, which doesn't consume as much power as when it's turned on, but does mean that the Wii is working a little bit (that's why it stays warm). You can disable it by turning off "Standby Connect" in the Wii setup.
