Q: These motion controls haven't been done before on a console. So Wii owners are playing games with a control scheme they've never used before. Examples include: Using a wheel to steer in Mario Kart. FPS controls in Metroid Prime, Medal of Honor, etc. So people have to constantly fork out money for these new experiences, so they can try new things. Wouldn't that mean the Wii is for rich people? Surely it costs a lot of money to enjoy all these new experiences. So much for serious answers... But along with new peripherals, such as the Balance Board and dozens of accessories, it takes a lot of money to get the most enjoyment out of your Wii. Think what you want. Once you've bought your 360, or PS3, you're finished. You just need controllers, maybe a wireless adapter. For the Wii, Nintendo is constantly pushing out things to buy. Just look at all these accessories. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqG245.Yh4Advjj9STjOy8fty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080720223635AA4iWTn&show=7#profile-info-8jotFmUXaa Now factor in the new gameplay experiences, and new peripherals on the horizon (Wii Motion Plus), and the Wii is easily the most expensive console, in the long run of course. Here's a great thread, discussing this exact topic. http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26442774 Ahh, but you don't understand my friend. Oil changes, rotating tires, etc. is necessary to keep your car running well. On the other hand. It costs money to have a great sound system, nice rims, etc. See what I mean? It's all the extra little things that quickly add up in cost. So while people might think they're enjoying the cheapest console, they're actually quite mistaken. Haha, I can agree with that.
A: Are cars for rich people? What about TVs? Or clothes, are those only for rich people? Alex you're better than this question. How can you answer this question seriously? Ask a dumb question get a dumb answer! LOL It has alot of extras so it's for the rich? I've got to go back to the car. Gas, oil changes, tires, tune ups, insurance. All these things come along with having a car and they aren't extra optional stuff. Look it's like this. Most Americans have a certain amount of discretionary income(play money) some people go out to eat and to the movies all the time, some people drink, others gamble or have huge DVD collections or all the latest tech toys. Some people buy video games. We will agree to disagree. I understand what you are saying I just don't agree. I will say this, if people are getting the Wii because it's the "cheapest" they are getting it for the wrong reasons!
