Q: Well now that I've got everyone's attention.... Why do people call the Wii, the Nintendo Wii? Nobody says Microsoft Xbox 360. Nobody says Sony Playstation 3. Matter of fact, Nintendo themselves don't say "Nintendo Wii" Check their website... http://www.nintendo.com/wii/what Do they say Nintendo Wii anywhere? I don't think so. Crazy, I know. So why do people call it the Nintendo Wii? I knew I'd forget something.... Did anyone say "Nintendo GameCube"? I didn't think so. A hardcore gamer on Yahoo? But.. but.. thats impossible. I thought Yahoo was composed of teenage girls wondering if Wii Fit will help them lose enough weight to become socially acceptable. Guess I was wrong. That's a first... But I'd completely agree. Actual "gamers" know to call the console by it's proper name. fax4voice3- Uhh, what? Nintendo 64. Nintendo Entertainment System. Super Nintendo Entertainment System. A: I really dont know, to be honest. But i reckon its because Wii is just short... I dont know! Because some people think its weird to say ''wii'' in general because they think of peeing or something so they Nintendo Wii so they dont sound weird or whatever but i remmeberd when people said im going to play >insert game title here< but anyway. Well Alex I think they just say Nintendo Wii because well, they are casual-lol. Like serious gamers say im going to play wii, or im going to play .>insert game title here<. Lol i'd laugh if they talk like this: Hey Person Bob! Hi Person Bill! Lets go play Nintendo Wii on the Samsung T.V. while eating Kellogs Corn Flakes while sitting on our (uhh cant think of a couch brand...) couch, while i put on my nike shoes, and then we can play Nintendo Legend of Zelda : Twllight Princess and i'll go on my Microsoft computer and look up on Yahoo7, ahooanswers! and go see things on the Nintendo Wii. Ok Person Bob but i got to go to let my dog spot out on to the earth backyard so it can go to the grass toilet. Ok..... Well you get my point right?
