Q: Whenever I see a "360 vs. PS3 vs. Wii" question, I see people saying "buy the Wii, it's cheaper." Does anyone actually think this? Think about, people buy a Wii for multiplayer. If you bought a Wii for a great single-player experience, you're just kidding yourself. So what do you have to buy? Well the Wii console only comes with 1 remote and 1 nunchuk. If you every want to player with 4 people, you need 3 more remotes and 3 more nunchuks. Since each remote is $40, and nunchuks are $20, three more of each will cost you $180. Now we're up to $430. Assuming you're one of the people that likes to download classic games, you'll have to buy a Classic Controller. That'll be $20, please. Now $450. Assuming you're one of the people that "had" to have a Wii Balance Board, that's another $80. Is it just me, or is the Wii not cheaper? Sure the console is cheap, but when it comes to controllers and accessories, Nintendo opens up your wallet and takes what they want. Am I right? Is this a question? Yes and no. It's me telling you something. And asking if I'm right? Which is silly, because I know I'm right. Crazy, I know. Yeah. I totally forgot about Wii Motion Plus. That's another $$$ slap in the face. You'll have to buy one for every remote. Assuming it's $20, and you have 4 remotes, you'll have to spend another $80 here pretty soon. The 360 and PS3 controllers are both $40. Which is $20 cheaper than a full Wii controller. So with 4 of each, you'd save $80 by buying 360 or PS3 controllers. Not to mention, Wii Motion Plus will make controllers cost even more. So yes, the Wii still isn't cheaper. Most Wii owners aren't interested in the Balance Board? Are you serious? Have you even seen it's sales, my friend? Assuming you have Mario Kart, thats another $30 for a few wheels..
A: You're right. It's just people get a bit too biased in their answers. If you see someone asking PS3 vs Xbox 360 vs Wii, people don't even help the person and simply say "Wii because it has better games". They don't explain the features of other consoles, etc. The fact, they probably never even played the other consoles. If someone tries to help by posting facts about all 3 consoles, they get downrated by the Wii fans. It happens to me all the time. Don't forget: if you need to have a wired connection instead of wireless, that's another $30 you have to fork over to the store for the Wii LAN Adapter.
