Q: I was playing mario kart wii online and all of a sudden a message came up that said communication error, and then the wii turned itself off to a yellow light. There are no updates it needs and the wii has been sitting in the same spot since November hasn't been moved. It did this to me last night to and I dusted the sensor bar off and it appeared fine after that, but I guess it wasn't. I also lost about 300 points because of this. Also no message has appeared about the batteries being low.
A: Odds are it was just a Disc Read Error - it's happened to me with a few different games. No big issue, just turn he system off, remove the disc, check for any scratches (you never know), pop it back in, then try again.
