Q: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6753368/Trail/searchtext>WIRELESS+USB.htm Will i be able to use it without having wireless router? I have bt broadband And how do i use it to connect my wii to internet?
A: Yeah ignore my previous advice i see what the above poster is saying, if you have a PC wired to to the internet you could use this to create a peer to peer connection to the internet via your PC, it's a lot easier to use a wireless router but no point buying additional hardware if you have one of these allready. *update: connecting using this device will involve setting up ICS (internet connection sharing) after configuring the USB adapter to act as an 'ad-hoc' network. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/expert/bowman_02april08.mspx This link eplains some of it, basically you'll need to connect the usb adapter to your PC, install it as normal, configure it to act as an ad-hoc network adding security settings as required, after doing this you will then be able to share the connection your PC uses to connect to the internet with wireless adapter by using ICS. If you follow the instructions in the link for setting up adapter as ad-hoc connection and then sharing connection, then go through the steps on you wii for connecting to wireless network
